The overall project involves adding a third lane to each direction of Weber Road between 135th Street/Romeo Road and 119th Street/Rodeo Road, with modernized traffic signals, new LED lighting, improved drainage and a barrier median. The entire project wraps up in summer 2022.
Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment.

The frontage road connecting northbound Weber Road to the businesses on the southeast corner of Weber & Normantown is open to traffic.

I-55 & WEBER ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT UPDATE AS OF 5/13/22:
Electrical work continues at the ramps.
Asphalt leveling binder and surface course is being paved.
Stone base placement for turn lanes continues.
Curb between the ramps and bridge is being placed.
Topsoil continues to be placed.
Concrete pavement at turn lanes at Normantown is being poured.
Sidewalk is being poured.
Work including construction of turn lanes to be performed at Remington and Windham Parkway intersections.
Asphalt surface is being paved on the paths north of the interchange.
Earthwork continues at ramps.
9 day ramp detour will be implemented June 10th. No left turns onto the interstate will be allowed during this time. More details to come.
